On the above link, it says PHP 4 & MySQL 4, will I have any problems running MyBB in PHP 5 & MySQL 5?

"Below is a list of basic requirements for MyBB. You must have these requirements fulfilled before MyBB can work on your website."

They are "basic" requirements. Anything above works.

I'm wondering because I used to have problems running IPB in the PHP5 environment in the past.
