i have been looking everywhere, trying ot find a script that would let me count (in real time) how many people are currently browsing a specific page.

for example. on index.php - i want to say "xx people are currently viewing otherpage.php"

is it possible? has anyone ran across it?

The online.php does this.

So I guess you could look at the code in there and modify it for your needs.

it's not really for the forum, and i was wondering if i could do it without using the database...

I don't thing there's a way to count who's viewing a page without putting it into a database.

You could write the data to a file, but that's just ugly.

I have an IP logging script, which writes it to a file, and it isn't ugly
I prefer ASCII anyhow
