People on my forum are asking about a quick jump link in threads which directs you to the next newest thread or older thread before it? usually found at the bottom of the thread.
I believe IPB has it like the following
Thread___________Link back to this forum______Link to next thread
Next Oldest<--------Code Modifications-------->Next Newest
Is this a hack if not how could it be set up?
There are Next Oldest / Next Newest links at the bottom of each thread....(above the new reply button)

Yeah but if your viewing a older thread it wont link you to the next newer thread. On IPB if you click the next newest and there is no more replies in the thread your viewing it will send you to the next thread created after the one your viewing assuming there is a newer one.
The way it is set up here is that it just sends you back to the top of the same thread your viewing instead of the next one. Hmmm. That is on my forum btw.
I just checked this on my forum, and it works the way it should. Are you sure you're hitting "< Next Oldest | Next Newest >" instead of "<First < Previous 1 2 Last>" ??

Well it looks like a skin problem. The links are there they just dont show because they are the same coor as the background.

Now to figure that out. Hopefully whoever did that theme is still around.
You can just edit the color value yourself in the theme manager. It should be the link value in the "Table Footers" section.
