I am no longer able to proceed due to the fact that i cannot get the installation wizard showing on the site. What else can I do? I have done everything on the install doc up to the point of the installer without any problems.

Its an ubuntu server

when i go to http://metulburr.com/forums/install
i get a 404

I have been following along with this install docs
http://docs.mybb.com/1.8/install/
Are you sure you've uploaded all these files? a 404 means it can't be found or doesn't exist
I downloaded the zip from the docs page directly to the server via SSH.
http://www.mybb.com/download/

extracted the zip and renamed Uploads directory to forum directory and moved that directory to my /var/www. The docs said you do not need the Documentation directory on the server.

Wouldnt that be all the files required?
You could PM me FTP details to check for you
details PM'd

nevermind. I forgot the path was to /var/www/html and not /var/www ,so the files root was indeed in the wrong directory
I'm also getting a 404 and have the correct path. I'm at a loss of what to do. Thanks for any assistance! - Sandy
