I just installed the one from MyBBHacks yesterday in a 1.8 board and it works.
i have 1.8.6 and when i go to install it i get the message

I tried the cool code one from mybb hack. I am able to activate it, but i am not sure how to use it if it works
i tried by c in myCode but no highlighter shows. I dont know if it doesnt work or if i dont know the mybb code.
I have tried numerous syntax highlighter plugins, and to no avail i cannot get them to work. It would be nice if there is an official plugin for mybb for syntax highlighting like there was for mybb 1.6
i now wished i just installed mybb 1.6 regardless of no more support because there are not enough plugins for 1.8
I installed Mybbhacks's one on three different boards with no issues.
Im not sure what is different between your boards and mine.
I pretty much gave up and am debating about using mybb 1.6 since i knew that one worked. I have tried for several days to get a working syntax highlighter for mybb 1.8.6 and none of the ones i ahve tried worked.
I have gotten
syntaxhighlighterto work on my site for tutorial code. But that is for regular html files. I am not sure if you could implement (or even know how) into the forums post?

Just upload the files and activate? It worked for me and should for you.
Does it fails on your custom theme or also if you switch to the default one?
