OK latest upgrade trauma.  

I was trying to run the script and it started OK, but then when "Performing necessary upgrade queries.." it gives me the dreaded "MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue".

The issue is SQL Error:1194 - Table marked as crashed and should be repaired.

After I fix this issue can I still upgrade?

I mean do I run the script again from the beginning and it would still work OK ????

And do I have the option of continuing without the upgrade for now - with the same database I mean, or is the database irretrievably 'cooked' and I need to import the backup?

Any help would be appreciated as I am getting desperate.

Which table is marked crashed?

It was mybb_spiders.

After I repaired the table, I couldn't see much alternative to just running the install script again. Fortunately it seems to have worked OK.

I guess the crashed table is one of the least sgnificant ones?

^ as you said, spiders table is not expected to crash !
