Ok, I'm getting very frustrated.

I have two sites, hosted seperately.

The first site hosted at powweb has been down all morning, and now the site is up, but I'm getting an error on the forum - could not connect to mysql. I've about had it with them and I'm going to take advantage of my 30 day money back guarentee.

The second site hosted at 1and1 is fine except my forum won't work there - I guess they don't allow forums. Unfortunately, I didn't pay for that site, so there's no money to get back from them. I'll have to figure out something else. I really like mybb, and would like to be able to run it. Unfortunately, I will have to find something else for the 1and1 site

But, as for the first site, I own the domain so I can take it wherever I want. So, I will be keeping mybb for this one.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a host that allows bb's that run on MySQL?

I used them. People on the forums are complaining with some problems, but I've not experienced that many (but I only have a small personal site). In the 3 months, I've experienced 2 mysql problems that haven't taken long to rectify. But as I said, I'm a personal site user so I don't know. The triple bandwidth and space is a good deal though

I know this is kinda stupid suggesting a host NOT to go to but mysitespace.com is teribble in my opinion. The servers are always down or overloaded. Please don't go with them

how has the uptime been for you there?

They have a 99.5% uptime guarantee and for the most part the guarantee is not needed. In addition, the prices are great You may see me helping over there from time to time (although their community is not very active).

And come to think of it, I believe MyBB is currently hosted on one of their servers

seems spendy but if they have good uptime, probably worth it
