I recently restored a backup database without any troubles from a different domain.

The backups are maybe.. 3 hours old? 

I try to login, and it's saying my password or username is incorrect.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you edit any of the sql files?

No. We made the back up. And imported it via phpmyadmin.
Now, nobody can login.

You have to tweak the cookie settings.

Open inc/settings.php (using ftp) and change cookiedomain to your new domain. You will be able to log in to the admin panel. Go to General settings and update your cookie domain and Board URL there.
