I can't remember my fastest speed, but I have to say this:

Upgrade your board! It might actually shave some of that off for you. Plus you'll be considerably more secure in the long run.

Depends if it's been customised. I, for one, wouldn't be willing to upgrade my board if I was running a modified MyBB

It also really depends which page you load and its content. I used GTMetrix to compare urls

It would take me months to migrate to 1.8
The forum has 4 years worth of modifications.

I will at some point update, but at the moment haven't got the time or energy to even think about it.

Mine is based in Canada, but as I use Cloudflare it doesn't really seem to matter where the tests take place (apart from Australia. Speeds suck there).

To get an idea of my server setup run:

I resent that; taken from my server in Sydney's Equinix DC (which in turn runs Asperger's Network): 



For some strange reason the IP Geolocates to Adelaide, but I assure you, it's in Sydney - I have access to the datacenter.
