I want to display the count of today's posts in the index page like "today's posts/expected goal".
Is that possible?
Can you guys help me in doing this, please.

Which template did you add it in? It has to be in one of the 'index' templates (including sub templates)

Is it possible to exclude posts from a certain section, in the board statistics?

Not as far as I'm aware. You can probably achieve this with a custom plugin though.
