First icon, notifications; tag,replied to your post, etc.
Second icon, Private message etc.
Third icon, when someone is an Admin, Super Mod, Mod, the icon will contain like reported thread, posts, member etc ONLY can be viewed by an Admin, Super Mod, Mod ( I know we have a ModCP, but this will be a faster way to get informed.)

In addition you have the thread prefixes and then you have no space left for the thread title haha
ahahah NO, i misunderstood, these functions would be nice to have the alerts in core
Alerts of new threads, new posts, new thread/post abuses, new PMs, should be core.
would be nice to have a AJAX function to update it along with global new threads and new posts
