Plugins that make changes to the UCP dont seem to work properly?

I seem to have broken images on the minimizer button 

eg the facebook registration etc

The My* Connect serie was built for 1.6, which had .gif images back in the days. 1.8 features .png images instead, so you have to edit the templates manually and change the images' extensions.
