When I installed the MyAlerts plugin im getting this error ?

No, it should be there. Which version of PHP do you have (you can find out in ACP > Tools & Maintenance > PHP Info). Also, what are the CHMOD permissions n that file?

Ah, MyAlerts requires PHP 5.3 or newer. 5.2.17 is massively out of date and hasn't been supported for several years. You should ask your host to upgrade.
