Hey all. I am hoping that you "experts" can help me out.

I have had a message board up for a while, but I just realized that by going to the actual domain "www.batonrougeplaygroup.com", you can't actually get to the site.

You have to go to "http://batonrougeplaygroup.com/MyBB/Upload/index.php" to access the board. Obviously, this isn't so great in terms of others 'finding' the site.

Is there a way to change this? Obviously, I'd like you to be transferred to the above just by going to "www.batonrougeplaygroup.com". I have looked at my 1&1 options, and don't really see a place to do so... but it's very possible that I'm missing something! Thanks in advance!

To do so, open up the MyBB folder and look for the upload file. once you have located that, change the name to "forum" or whatever you like. Then, upload THAT folder into your server.

Hmm... so is there no way to make http://batonrougeplaygroup.com bring you to the board directly?

I changed it to /forum/... everything seems okay, except when I try to go into Admin CP, it still used /upload/ automatically and I have to change it by hand.. and some other image links are incorrect now. Ack.

You can move the files from one directory to the one you want it in and then change the url by going to the Admin CP.

Do I just need to FTP and move everything under "batonrougeplaygroup.com" instead of under forum (which is under mybb)? Or.. ?

Yes, you just need to move everything in http://batonrougeplaygroup.com/MyBB/Upload/ to http://batonrougeplaygroup.com/ and then just change the BB Url in the ACP Settings.

How exactly do I 'move' everything, since everything is in these folders? MyBB is the main folder under batonrougeplaygroup.com, and everything is in subsequent folders there. I just dragged everything over, but now I can't even access the Admin CP or the site at all... rut roh....

Can you delete the index.html file?

I can... should I? I'm scared to do any more damage.. haha.

Yes. It's not a MyBB file anyway. Or at least rename it
