Hello, today I decided to make a forum!

Anyways, when trying to install a plugin (ACP -> Plugins), I got an error about "max_user_connections reached", or something similar to that.

As a result, I came to this forum for support. I found one solution which involved editing the database portion of my config.php file in the /inc/ directory of the MyBB root. It claimed that it would help out with my problem.

Then clumsy me did so and saved it, closing the file without keeping a history of it.

I found a guide by Chris Boulton (pretty sure he's a Product Manager) for MyBB v1.1.

I followed Chris Boulton's support and transferred the new config.php file to my domain via FTP.

And now I get this error:

I'm running MyBB 1.8.6 by the way! Smile

You probably shouldn't be using a config file from MyBB 1.1 (2006) for MyBB 1.8.
