Hello Gang
The video drop-down menu includes "Facebook" as a choice of video type.
However, if I put a Facebook video URL in there it doesn't work.
All I get in my post is:
Why doesn't it work folks?
Running 1.8.4 (I know, I know, I will upgrade when I get some time!!)

The proper URL format for a Facebook video is actually:
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1101696136508814
so
I implemented a custom solution for my forum so that they can use that format, but it's a little complicated.
Have you considered using Automedia with embedly?

Makes no sense to have a drop down menu where you select facebook and add url if you have to manipulate it afterwards.

Perhaps posting the correct embed URL at the beginning would make more sense? People need to understand that
http://community.mybb.com/index.php is not a direct link to the MyBB logo.
But since the invalid URL contains the required information to use it in the correct manner, MyBB 1.8.7 will support this type of URLs:
