Full Version: backup up a theme before upgrading to new version

Hi all ...

Have a mybb board running and it is v1.22 and i want to update to new version 1.26 but do not want to lose my current theme ...

how do i update so I can restore my theme back to what it is.

how do i save my theme and all the setting associated with it. Smile

Thanks any step by step instructions would be most appreciated.

It's not needed to back-up your theme for this upgrade.

But you could simply to it by going to the themes manager in your admin cp, select your theme from the drop down menu and click 'export theme'.
i go in to the admin and go to export the database and it always save it as
a zero mb file ... the database is about 27 mb in size so not sure why i can't export the db ... any idea?
Well, I also had this problem when I upgraded from a MyBB 1.1 version (which previously was upgraded from a RC version).

What helped for me was to change the extension of the database format (tar, zip, or so, gzip did the trick, though) and look which one works the best...
