Moving the boards stats to the portal?

would be nice to have the stats away from the index so that it loads up the index nice and quick....SO all the JS and CSS load up and cached on first load

If anything the portal should just be the main focus on new content, I wouldn't necessarily want the board stats to be only shown on the portal and not the index. I can only think that it would be an odd split, so maybe allow for there to be an option on having all of the board stats to be shown on either OR both ends (the full board stats not just some quick overview).
