Before I edited the mail settings it sent an email out for verification, now it doesn't. I was wondering if anybody knew how to put it back to default.

What do you mean by 'default'? It's simply PHP mail instead of SMTP.

Before I edited the mail settings it worked so there's got to be a default settingspreset for php mail.
Well, I guess you're the one who knows the best what was edited. I'm not aware of any PHP mail specific settings except additional headers (empty by default).
