I'm thinking to switch to xenforo because I think myBB 1.8.6 have not some important features like a alert system a conversiontion chat all this. Also a implmented like system... So I maybe will go and buy xenforo, so I want to know myBB have these features how long it quite take to a stable released myBB 2.0 version? A year one months? When we are near before a myBB 2.0 release I don't will do a change...

sure, it'd be nice to have them in core, but that's not going to happen before 2.0. the option to add it does exist currently though..

I'm well aware mybb is free...been using it since 2006.
I don't expect them to start introducing all sorts of features in the core code when a rewrite is in the works...it's just not a valuable use of the programmers limited time.
I dont see any reason why to add these into core... plugin is much more better for maintain

if mybb wants to continue to be a viable forum software, they're going to need to adapt to the market trends by adding stuff people really want in the core, i.e., tagging people, likes, alerts, etc..
these features have already been confirmed for 2.0.
