How can I make "... /portal.php" <= as homepage?
I have found a plugin by DennisTT but it did not work Sad.
Can it be solved with a code that should be written in index.php?
or another way?
It did not work too.
Well the problem is, when users try to enter site, redirect plugin works and portal is opened.
But for me it does not work, although I deleted cookies etc.
Ok finally the real problem is after many tries;
If someone enters my website for first time, they face portal.
After first time "forum index" is opened as homepage Sad
Redirect.php only works for first time visiters.
I hope it can be fixed Sad

Oh, you wanted it permanently?

I know this has been discussed before, but I don't remember, so try doing a search.

That was the intent of the plugin, not a bug. I will see if I can do something permanently for Portal Redirect v2
Couldn't you just change your Apache configs to read /portal.php as the DirectoryIndex ?
You could but it would apply it to everything on the web server. And, many people don't have access to those type of apache files or have the expertise to change it either.

Nonsense! Smile You have a separate vhosts section for every site that can include that directive

Also it can be added to .htaccess files in this case.

Yes, you're right if it is a shared hosting account that you wouldn't usually be able to edit the httpd.conf and its includes. But placing in .htaccess would work then if Override FileInfo is set.
I guess I learn something new everyday.
