Please note:
Everytime I "search" for any subject, all I get is "No results".
No matter what I type into this forum's search engine.
So I post my question...

  I want to upgrade my forum to the latest stable version (which I've already downloaded 1.8.0.6).
Hoping it will help reduce spammers.

I already have a current backup.
Is the upgrade process stable?

The site is "Customized" and I'd hate to try and get everything back like it currently is.
Is it easy & painless to upgrade?
Or does it take a guru?

what version do you currently have?

just do a backup of your database and all your files, once you finish upgrading you will need to upgrade also your plugins and themes (probably).
