Is there a way to automatically losslessly compress uploaded images such as avatars and signatures?

I want to make my forum as fast as possible today. If it doesnt exist its probably a great idea for a plugin c;

If you've got CloudFlare Pro you can just enable the Mirage feature.

If not, gzip compression on your server is more than enough.

Cloudflare pro is $20 bucks a month, tad to expensive for me right now
