I know this may seem a little strange but I want to get rid of the news script on my main page and just use the forum for news annoucements. But I don't want to lose my old news posts, and if I just create new threads it will have the new date, so I was wondering if it was at all possible to easily change the date of the thread.

AdamLC, in order to change the date of the thread you will have to go into the threads table and posts table and update the dateline of all of the threads and posts you want to change. This comes from the PHP function time().
