I am looking to send an email newsletter to the users on my board, but think some may have used a fake email to sign up - rather than having them bounce emails back is there a way to validate the emails of my users and delete those with a fake/undeliverable address.

you can use "send email activation" each time a new user register on your forum, so that they need to activate their accounts over their email (they need a real email to activate instead of a fake one). about the users already registered on your forum, you either change their emails via admin cp or they need to change that themselves.
