Hello, tried to install MyBB as an add-on forum to WordPress
Created forums directory in the root (httpdocs) to distinguish it from the WP site
Then went through the installation process, it installed successfully

But..

The forum doesn't show up in mywebsite.com/forums/index.php

I get:
["Forbidden You do not have permission to access this document."]

Searching here I realize this was a familiar problem with older MyBB versions, but was fixed from 1.6 upwards

Now I tried to reinstall, but curiously enough I cannot remove the forums folder from the root, neither in FTP, nor in Plex (on the file manager at the server), the latter gives:

["Unable to remove /httpdocs/forums: filemng failed: filemng: Error occurred during /bin/rm command."]

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, this is above my pay grade I'm afraid.
Anyone? Once again, re-installed, whole process correct but get the "you have no permission to access this file" when trying to go to the MyBB forum that was installed successfully according to its OWN installation process..

Any suggestions much appreciated. It doesn't seem I'm the only one with this problem..
you installed your forum on which directory? and the wordpress website?
