I tried setting up my forum rules but it keeps giving me an invalid forum error. Image below.



Simply displaying the rules works, but not when I say "Display link to the rules of this forum"

How do I do this? I've tried entering the link for the rules thread I made, it doesn't work. entering the rules in the field also yields this error. Help?

thats probably because you are adding rules to a Category and not to a Forum..

Ah I see, understand now. Thanks for the clarification! How do I go about having like a banner for the whole site to see a link to forum rules? I'm a bit new to forums and all so yeah hehe

you can either add it as a new menu item in your top menu: http://community.mybb.com/thread-164112.html and http://community.mybb.com/thread-179039.html

or put it as a announcement on the index page: http://community.mybb.com/thread-163110.html
