okay 1st of all.
I move my site, and file and sql, to other host....It was topline...but he had to shut it down, now I am back where I was..
but for checking updated plug was never an problem before...any ideas?
error: There was a problem communicating with the MyBB modifications version server. Please try again in a few minutes.
Been doing this for 2 and half months.. I have no idea.
This worked on my free host many times....!

So a plugin is looking for updates but it cant connect to mods.mybb.com
Is the curl extension enabled for PHP? You should be able to tell from the PHP Info page in ACP > Tools & Maintenance.

Yes. But I still getting the error....
So: I updated my ver from: 1.8.6 to 1.8.7 Still getting, the error.
Is there an settings in the folder somewhere for this? In MySQL?
There isn't any setting for it. I was meaning to check whether the mods site feed was still alive and available. It could also be that your host is blocking access to the mods site page (or CloudFlare is blocking your host). Who is your webhost?
maybe you need to update your php version from 5.4 to 5.6.

You are talking about Dashboard Correct? Or Homepage? (www.cool-knight.tk) Homepage works yes.
Unless you are talking about Plugin page? Yes that works.

No I don't have CloudFlare.
[Also like to recap] This used to work, before I switched from host to host. Worked befor and after...So yeah.
