Can you please try updating the headerinclude template, it will work fine.
The reason it is not updating the font you want is because your forum is not loading the theme. If you want to update the css to have font link, thank you will have to use @

2 more questions, (I'm a totally newbie to mybb and anything coding so you may have to walk me through it)

What is the difference between this and the $25 responsive theme?  Is it easier to edit or something?

Also, I'm trying to add my logo to the header and I see that it needs to be 413x138px and I see in the header code where I need to put it.  However, I don't know what to put there for my logo.  I made one on my computer so the img isn't on the internet for a web address.  What should I do for that?  I have FileZilla, do I need to use that?

Also Focus Responsive theme is better than free version, it is also mobile friendly with color options as well.

Yes, you will need to modify the css files present in theme. For example try modifying global.css
Also you can try Focus Responsive version which has 4 inbuild color :-
