Hello everyone....

I'm very new to MyBB and completely lost! 

I'm trying to install the Ruby_ACP Style located at:
http://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=520

I install the style as directed in the installation guide. When I install it
unfortunately the the style isn't available:

I've FTP the files into the specified directory however I've been unsuccessful
at the installation of the style. Here's a screen capture of the installation:

Can someone please help me by indicating what the heck I'm doing wrong?

Greetings...,

Thanks for the interest in Ruby ACP. Based on your screenshots, the style is NOT install in the correct directory.
It appears you installed into the uploads folder inside your main forum directory and not the main forum directory.
The way I package is as follows just like the MyBB package structure when you download MyBB.

Documentation --> Equals documentation info
Upload --> Equals the forum directory

Inside Documentation in the ReadMe.html you will find these instructions:

» Installation:

1.) After downloading the ACP Style, unpack it (with 7-Zip for example)
2.) Upload contents of "Upload" into your forums folder.
3.) Go to the Admin Control Panel under Preferences > Global Preferences > Admin Control Panel Theme
4.) Select "Ruby-ACP" & then press: "Save Personal Notes & Preferences"
5.) Now have fun with your new forum ACP Style!

So when uploading the ACP style it goes exactly how it is packaged:

Quote:Upload/admin/styles/Ruby_ACP

Upload being the main forum directory you changed from Upload to whatever your forum directory is now named after initial MyBB install. Most likely based on your screenshots it is named "forums-v2"

If that is complicated try just copying the

Quote:Ruby_ACP

folder found at:

Quote:Upload/admin/styles/Ruby_ACP

into:

Quote:forums-v2/admin/styles/Ruby_ACP

No worries. I hope the information helped you get it all sorted out and I hope you enjoy the ACP. I hopefully will find some spare time soon to try and re-look at some further planned future improvements on that particular ACP style if and when my time allows.
