I just installed a mybb plugin here: http://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=552
now everything works fine, but I dont know how to fix the redirect. Since it has to be a specific id. Where do I change the redirect id when they log in? Thank you!

if you have introductions forum or a general forum then that forum ID can be used. it is a number.
at the forum management section in forum admin panel,
hovering mouse on forum name shows its link in browser status bar.
by looking at link's last part you can get the forum number (fid)

I wasnt clear sorry. I got the fid already, but when a new member login, it needs to be redirected to this specific fid, otherwise the member will be stuck with "invalid forum".
