Hi,

I'm translating the registration page but I cannot change the text "This field is required." when not entering the user name. I have searched for that string but I cannot find. Does anyone know where I can find "This field is required."?

if you are referring to registration page then such phrases come from jquery.validate.min.js file (folder: ~/jscripts/validate)

Thank you! But why is that some of the phrases come from the language files and some from that script file?

in simple words :
MyBB 1.8.x versions are using Jquery Library.
Jquery plugins come with predefined phrases & MyBB Developers are using them (as required)

This could actually be translated by extending $.validator.messages. Moving to bug reports.

^ that should change. hard refresh your browser (eg. press CTRL + F5) or try using another browser to check
