i've checked ACP -> Configuration -> Settings -> Posting -> Show 'edited by' Messages / Show 'edited by' Message for Forum Staff
they are checklist

postbit templates (both postbit & postbit_classic) should consist of code like below

<span class="post_edit" id="edited_by_{$post['pid']}">{$post['editedmsg']}</span></span>

also check contents of postbit_editedby & postbit_editedby_editreason templates
