Why i cant register a username with " & "

it shows "The username you entered contains bad characters. Please enter a different username."

i check and remove that in banning / disallowed usernames

and still i cant register with that special character..

I'm fairly sure that ampersand (&) is a disallowed character in SQL and therefore cannot be used.
