dvz mentions plugin has a link for integration with MyAlerts plugin. that needs to be clicked.

When i changed the folder to plugins2 and loaded acp, no plugins where displayed or where shown.

and then rename plugins2 folder to plugins.

What do you mean rename dvz_mentions.php file from php extension to old extension? I'm confused.
^ in the plugins folder you can rename dvz_mentions.php as dvz_mentions.old so that it doesn't work as a plugin.
