I'm still not sure if mybb is going to be any good for me as i still haven't had any replies on my last thread:

How easy is it to add ads to a forum?

Is it just a case of editing the template?

advertisement codes can be added directly to the templates
general templates for advt~ are : header / footer / index / forumdisplay / showthread

or a plugin like My Advertisements can be used.
