Hi,

My first question has to do with the ethics of having the "powered by MyBB" in the footer. I fully understand the ethic of keeping it there but as we were submerged by spammers, I changed it to show a "powered by MyBB image" but it didn't work.

How could I set it right, to show the proper image and have the proper link?

My second question has to do with your MyBB front page. How could I add a front page as you guys did here with the community forum as a choice off the front page AND without having the Portal as the front page?

Or is it even possible to do so? Or does it have to be with third party extensions?

Thank you in advance to anyone who would take time to reply.. : )

MyBB.com is a static website. Community.mybb.com is just a standard MyBB installation with a custom theme to match.

Bots are going to find your forum no matter what, so I'd recommend using security questions and such to prevent them from signing up. Human spammers, however, will always be a problem.
As for your powered by mybb question, I just asked a similar question. Images are allowed for Powered by Mybb, they have to link back to the mybb homepage and don't exactly need Powered by MyBB, I was told MyBB SW is allowed as well

Update
According  to Policy, it must remain on the footer. :/

Update: - Staff messenging. Copy and paste.

SW => SoftWare
support eligibility policy says that the backlink should exist on the footer
of all themes so that each & every page of forum has backlink to MyBB site

Yet another edit. Is this the code your using?
<a href="http://mybb.com><img src="image path" /></a>

Oh god not another update haha.

It doesn't have to be the footer (it could be the header if you want), just so long as it's on every page.
