could someone point me the way to have the rules plugin to work on 1.8.7 as i would like to have the app the current one is not compatible with my version, reason being i could not download any earlier version.

the reason being is that i would like to be able to put new rules and have a page users can view and be notified of any updates. as currently i have to use global or forum announcements to do this. i would like to be able to have the forum rules apps.

You can use forum settings on admin cp too.

There you can se rules for every forum youu want and set display mode.

Anyway youu can uuse thread subscriptions or massive sends since admincp too.

But if you wish yo use a plugin you can do it too.

MyBB 1.8.x series was able to use rules and many new options by default, on lesse versions you have to use plugins but right now some are core implementations.
