Simple and good for first step.
You need to learn html,css, Jquery to improve your theme quality.
If you already have the knowledge of above mentioned skills, than i will say you need to work hard. Just honest feedback
The theme itself is quite basic and is obviously based of the original theme however the edits you've made are looking clean.
Thank you for the kind words, yes its based from the stock theme but I intent on heavily editing it and making it much more advanced.
The skills you mention above I have very very very basic knowledge of HTML/CSS but that's it but I'm learning as I'm building my theme.

it's like 'Square' and Default theme combined together,
it's kind of basic style,
Things i think you need to change:
i think you should change the panel style and lower the width of the content area.
