MyBB Community Forums

Hi,

I'm one of the administrators over at Wicked The Forum! I'm responsible for much of the technical side and general upkeep of the site.

I'm not very happy with phpBB at the moment. Its very messy, and doesn't allow us to do all that we want to. We are also attracting some very malicious spammers, which are very difficult to deal with in phpBB (clumsy). Apart from that - I prefer the MyBB interface!

I have performed most of the modifications myself, and I am alright with PHP but I don't feel happy about making the convert myself. I just know I'm going to get very stuck on it - in a big way. Its also nice to have some support.

So - if you have experience in converting phpBB to MyBB, or are PHP literate please help us. We can't offer much to anyone who can help perform this task. A whole community will be very grateful, and I'm sure we can link to your community/website on our site!

I converted about 5 phpbb forums to mybb successfully.

pspforums.com being the largest with 300k posts...

Tested with http://ncaabbs.com/forums/ - Simply put phpBB 2.x converter has been tested very thoroughly and we've fixed all the problems.
