Hi all,

So I have recently installed SSL at our forum (https://forumauthority.com/) and am using the secure content plugin to stop mixed content causing us issues. I was wondering, is there a way to get a proxy to serve insecure images over a secure https connection?
I did try to follow this: http://community.mybb.com/thread-162572-...pid1116582

However this did not appear to work for me? I am trying to set this up on Heroku, so if anyone has had success with this, could they please tell me how they managed it? It is possible that I have misconfigured it somewhere as Heroku is a new venture for me.

Otherwise, if anyone knows of any other proxy that would work, could they please let me know?

Cheers!

if anyone has this working for mybb 1.8.X I'd be interested as well. I haven't gotten around to messing with the plugin linked above yet to see what goes on with it.
Lol @ BlackWhiteHats banning,
I can try to emulate your situation tonight (just finished work). Would it matter if Heroku was used or not?

After having a further look at this, I do not have a https server. I will try to emulate this on Heroku for you in a couple of hours Smile

Update: Ordered chinese haha, I'll start working on your problem in due time

I would prefer heroic for the cleanliness and less server resources on our end, though if shove comes to push it wouldn't be absolutely necessary. Any luck either way though? :-)
As far as I know, there isn't an existing system to do this. I've been meaning to write one, just haven't got around to it yet. If I get time over the next week or two, I'll have a look.

Would be great to have a system supported by Mybb itself - I noticed someone suggested it for 2.0 (which is a great idea!) I do however believe that people have gotten the system that I have linked working, however I cannot get it working at all, so if you have any ideas that'd be great! Smile
It's been accepted for 2.0, so it'll definitely be core there Smile

Awesome! I could do with a system for 1.8 in the meantime though.
Hopefully someone knows how to get camo working Wink
