Hey there,

I have the regular captchas enabled for registration and guest posting. The weird thing is that the captchas take 20 to 30 seconds to load.

Are there any tips to fix this?

This is a known issue: https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/2394
You can fix it by replacing all instances of "my_rand" with "rand" in captcha.php.
