I operate a forum as an adjunct to a friend's website. Our members would like to have chat capabilities.
We tried MyBB chat by Chatwee, but found it frequently generated "Invalid Chat ID" errors and was unreliable. One unconfirmed theory is that the difficulty would go away if we upgraded from the free version...
Any recommendations? We'll probably have 10 or fewer users on at a time.
A couple of other questions.
* I'm not a big user of chat, so I don't know what a shoutbox is. A way of attracting another's attention like poking?
* When I Search Plugins on the keyword "Chat," I only find 4. Yet this forum talks about several others like Ajax. What search term(s) should I use?
