Hi,
A few days ago, a user of a forum I administrate made the decision to delete their account. They've now returned with the exact same username as before. The posts which the user made before the account deletion now show "Unregistered" below the username.
What is the best way to link up the user's posts with their new account?
I have considered:
- changing the user's ID to match what it was before the account deletion, and running a post/thread rebuild.
- changing the posts made by the user to match the new user ID
Any thoughts?
