A lot of web hosts have an auto-installer to be able to install MyBB, just follow the instructions to get your forum there.
If you don't have such an option use the previously mentioned installation guide.

^ its better to use MyBB's own admin panel to control MyBB forum.
WordPress had a plugin for an older version of MyBB. using it is not recommended
(also that plugin is not expected to work for recent versions of MyBB)
maybe you can make like this
website --> WP
website/forum --> mybb
The best way to have MyBB is using a sub domain or a folder. If you have cPanel with Softaculous, there is a one click install option. WP and MyBB are two entirely different scripts. So, they have separate control panels. You can't control MyBB from WordPress dashboard.
Using an auto installer is not recommended.
