How do I remove the top bar of the forum, here is a pic to show you what I mean.

Disable guests from seeing that Category..
It's a permission thing.
Or if it's a category you are not using.. delete it.

Blush! , it's an unwanted "Cat"
It's not in forumbit_depth1_cat
So it must be in the Index.. as the header as finished also.
I would look for this script in the index and remove it. I can't see how it's anywhere else ??
It's not even the current MyBB v1.2x syntax that is used for id=cat

Good!
We're all glad it's fixed.
Now stop playing with it and set yourself up a "Test MyBB Site" and practise fixing / modding things there so that you can fix it until you break it... Then move the "good" bits to your working forum.
Way off topic:
I've got a heap of horse avatars that are p r e t t y good - Not mine - but if you would like something like that, I would have to re-locate the original author's website link. Just say the word.
