Sorry, what do you mean by this?
When you click insert an image button - it asks you for a URL. That's where you copy the link you get from postimage.org

Edit: Works fine when pasting the URL between IMG tags too.
False alarm; turns out, the images that were being scaled down were actually scaled down by the user when posting (using that size and width box). I thought the forum software was doing it!
