I uploaded all the files, and did the chmod like I was supposed to, but every time I try to install it keeps saying the files are not writable.

I have tried doing the chmod through an FTP client, and through cPanel...it's just not working! Every time I go back to the FTP client, it says that files are 766. This only happens with the uploads and uploads/avatars files...

any help?

EDIT: I fixed it...I had to have the files at 777, not 666.

The documentation should probably be fixed sometime soon.

Yes, that was disturbing when it wouldn't work when I first tried to install MyBB.
