Hey guys,
We all must now by now the problems regarding the AdBlock crise "infecting" all our Forums and many other websites around the internet.
I have a suggestion for the plugin devs:
How about a simple plugin to detect adblock users, and if yes, the plugin shows a message alerting the user about the use of adblock?
I'm not going to discuss que effective of this kind of warning message, but... It's a start and a simple way to show to users that we, forums admins, know about the use of adblocks.
Of course in this new plugin the admin will have:
- full control about the frequency of the message appearing to the adblock user;
- full control of the message (you can write the entire message to show in the pop-up);
- Or even, facilitate the admin to put a image BEHIND the ad, and if the ad is blocked, the image behind will appear.
(If this kind of plugin is impossible, any tutorials to teach how to put a image behind the ads?)
