And is there any plugins that would allow me to set a requirement to post image/links?

you can use MyTabs plugin or try using tabbed menu plugin

manual coding:
tabbed forum with jQuery | another tabbed forum (with cookies) guidance
MyBB 1.8.x includes jQuery script. there is no need to add minified jQuery script if you try above methods

Thanks for replying so quickly and with such a good answer. But do you know where I could get a plugin so when people join, they cant post links/image directly. They must meet a minimum requirement before being able to. Because this avoids a lot of spam, and some dirty content(CP), and it's really annoying to do he manual clean up!

If I remember correctly you need to make sure the thread is activated somewhere in the MyTabs settings.
